November Book Haul

Well, it's the beginning of a new month!  And I am officially in a new place and a new state!  If you have been following for a little while, then you know that I recently made the move across country from Michigan to California!  And I am LOVING the weather!  Anyway, enough blabbering ... onto the pile of books that has been patiently waiting for a little while now to be hauled!

The Luxe by Anna Godbersen

First of all, I am obsessed with this cover!  I think it is absolutely beautiful!  I believe this is the first in a series of 4 novels that center on historical fiction.  Wow, I could be totally wrong on this, but like all the books in this haul, they were a great deal on BookOutlet, so I couldn't pass them up!

Partials by Dan Wells

I have heard amazing things about this whole series!  This is a dystopian novel that is the first in a trilogy, which I believe is all released by now.  I heard that this book has some amazing action!

Unwind by Neal Shusterman

I have wanted this book for quite some time, and now that it was up on BookOutlet, I couldn't resist. This book is the first in a dystopian series (4 books I believe?  Not sure if they are all out at this time...), which discusses the idea of "unwinding" children.  This term means that the child will be salvaged for body parts that will go to others in need.  That sounds so interesting!

Burn For Burn by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian

Another book I have heard great things about!  This is the first in a contemporary trilogy that revolves around revenge!  This also sounds very interesting!

Starstruck by Lauren Conrad

This is the second book in the The Fame Game series.  I can't remember if I hauled the first in the series recently, but I saw this for a good deal on BookOutlet, so I thought I would go ahead and pick it up!  I typically try not to buy the second or third book in a series without reading the first one; this allows me to keep the TBR manageable, but I thought this one was a safe bet because I own the LA Candy series.  Although I don't think these books are the greatest, they can still be fun in the summertime for a light read!

Where I Belong by Gwendolyn Heasley

This also looked like a fun summertime book!  A city girl falls in love with a country boy.  I don't actually think I have heard anything about this book, but I can't wait to check it out!

Velveteen by Daniel Wells

This book sounds so creepy but amazing at the same time!  I have heard little talk about this book, but I believe it is about a girl who is murdered when she was 16, and she comes back ... to maybe help catch the murderer?  I'm not being very helpful right now...

Where it Began by Ann Redisch Stampler

This book seems like a good contemporary with a little bit of an edge.  I believe it is about a girl who gets in an accident, something about drunk driving, and wakes with no memories.  Can't wait to check it out!  (Plus it has a beautiful cover!)
