I have heard so
many wonderful things about Katie McGarry and this series as a whole! I was able to snag the first 3 books on
my Kindle when they were on sale for only a couple of bucks each! The other day, I had an extremely slow
day at work, so I started Pushing the
Limits. I ended up finishing
this book in a few days because I couldn’t put it down! I highly recommend this book if you
enjoy contemporary romance!

Goodreads Summary:
So wrong for each
other …and yet so right.
No one knows what happened the
night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about
outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember
the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything
to go back to normal.
But when Noah Hutchins, the
smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her
life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts
in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And
with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.
Yet the crazy attraction between
them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push
the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love
again.
Characters:
I quickly fell
in love with all of these characters!
Our two main characters, Echo and Noah, were incredibly real and
watching their relationship form was so much fun. Echo’s character was so well developed as was Noah’s, which
made each of them seem extremely realistic. Even the side characters, such as Echo’s and Noah’s friends,
were also very interesting to read about and to see how they interacted with
our main characters.
Plot:
This story
follows Echo and Noah as their relationship develops over the course of a few
months. Echo was once a popular
girl in high school, but a severe accident caused her to hide and keep to
herself. Noah also has some
secrets in his past; however, he acts out in a different way, such as ditching
classes and falling behind in school.
Echo’s school counselor asks her to tutor Noah for some extra cash, and
their relationship develops from there.
Writing Style:
I absolutely
loved the writing style of Katie McGarry!
I thought the plot and dialogue were very realistic. Several times, I would just smile or
chuckle out loud at the cuteness of this story. Plus, there were ups and downs when learning about the
background of these characters that kept me reading. I couldn’t put this book down!
I’m assuming you have already read this
book because so many people have, but if you haven’t, I highly recommend
it! I can’t wait to read about
some of these other characters in the following novels!
