May Book Haul

And Book Outlet got me again!  LOL.  How does this keep happening?? Oh yeah...it's because none of these books were more than $5...  Here's my May book haul!

Marked by P.C. Cast

I have heard a lot about the House of Night series (as well as the Vampire Academy series).  I wasn't sure which one to start first since both are about a school of vampires, but because the first book in this series was on sale, I thought I would start here to see if I like it!

The Pact by Jodi Picoult

After reading My Sister's Keeper, I knew I wanted more Jodi Picoult, and this book sounds like it tackles some interesting issues.  Plus I just love her writing!

Fly On The Wall: How One Girl Saw Everything by E. Lockhart

So I have only heard I little bit about this book, but what I have heard is all good!  This is a super short novel, so I'm excited to start it!

Dollhouse by Kourtney, Kim, & Khloe Kardashian

Ok, ok, ok.  I do have a little bit of a soft spot for the Kardashians.  I do watch their reality TV show (reality TV is definitely one of my guilty pleasures), and I also kinda enjoyed Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy series (which I recently bought the first novel in the spin-off series).  I definitely admit that the L.A.Candy series is not one of my all-time favorites, and I don't think it is fantastically written, but I think it is a fun read in the summer on the beach!

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson

I have heard nothing but amazing things about this author, and this book sounds really interesting.  It reminds me of a Jodi Picoult novel, where it covers a darker topic.  And she just had a new book come out recently that also sounds amazing!

All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab

This book is a contemporary mystery novel about a girl in a California prep school who dies, and there are a lot of secrets to be revealed.  Sounds really good!

Black City by Elizabeth Richards

I'll be honest.  I don't really know what this book is about, but I love the cover!  I think it is another dystopian novel, so I am excited to check this book out!

Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Embarrassing, but again, this was another cover-buy.  Yeah, I really don't know much about this book, but I am excited to read it and find out about this world!

Have you read any of these books?
